To All Tuskegee Students:

Tuskegee University (TU) is proud to be the sponsor of the Student Accident and Sickness Insurance Plan for all registered students for the 2006-2007 academic year. Students are required to enroll in this program, which will be included on your fee bill. While TU is fortunate to draw students nationwide, as well as internationally, many plans from other states—especially PPO’s— often do not pay for treatment out of state. However, if you are covered under another plan that would pay benefits here, know that you may file any claims that you may have under both plans.

Insured students are covered 24 hours per day, on and off campus, at home or abroad, while traveling between home and school and during vacation periods with the exception of international students while in their home country. The coverage is described in detail in this brochure and care should be taken to read and understand the benefit limits. TU is not responsible for payment of any medical expenses or death or dismemberment benefits in connection with an injury or sickness. Any expenses incurred that are not covered by this insurance plan are the sole responsibility of the student.

This information is a brief description of the important features of the Insurance Plan. It is not a contract of insurance. The terms and conditions of coverage are set forth in policy number BSA 00082 issued by BCS Insurance Company to TU in Alabama. The policy is subject to the laws of the State of Alabama.
